How does ovulation determine when I can get pregnant?

Knowing your time of ovulation is crucial to successful conception. Your fertile period starts about 4-5 days before ovulation, and ends about 24-48 hours after it.

Can ovulation prediction help me avoid pregnancy?

Yes. To avoid unwanted pregnancy, you should abstain from unprotected sexual intercourse during your fertile days. Your fertile period starts about 4-5 days before ovulation, and ends about 24-48 hours after it.

Can I improve my chances of having a girl?

Yes. To increase your chances of conceiving a girl, you should have intercourse 2-4 days before ovulation.

Can I increase my chances of having a boy?

Yes. To improve your chances of conceiving a baby boy, you should have intercourse a day before ovulation, on the day of ovulation, and a day after it.

Can I use Ovulation Calendar if my cycle is irregular?

No. If your cycle is consistently irregular, using ovulation calendars may result in misleading information about your fertility.

How do I know that my cycle is irregular?

If your cycles are occasionally irregular, you should not worry too much. However, if your menstrual period frequently occurs more often than every 21 days or less often than every 35 days, or if a period is missed altogether, your cycle can be considered irregular.
